![]() ![]() So, if you only end up playing a small number of characters, most of the costumes are likely a waste of money.Pamo babe. You'll still see the costumes you didn't buy on characters you play against online, and you'll still see them on computer characters when their costumes are selected randomly by the game. So, that may affect your decision.Īnother thing to consider with the costumes is that they only matter for when _you_ select the costume for a character (so, when you select your character, when you select your opponent in versus mode, or in the "theater" where you select two characters to fight one another). Also, if you're on the PS4 or Xbox One, if you buy the physical edition (which is the standard edition), then you can probably get it for cheaper, thus making the deluxe edition cost you that much more money in comparison and making the Core Fighters edition a worse deal. Now, if you only care about a few of the characters and don't care about story mode or the extra costumes that come with the deluxe edition, then the Core Fighters edition would be a better deal, but if you want very many characters, it would probably be better to just buy the game. She was never part of the deluxe edition like some folks think, and of course, any of the other DLC costumes or any new characters beyond that (which at this point would just be the KoF characters who come out later this week) would have to be bought separately from the game. Regardless, Nyotengu has to be bought separately (she was a pre-order bonus on PS4 and Xbox One and an early purchase bonus on Steam). So, just be sure that the extra items that come with the deluxe edition aren't worth the extra $20 to you before you buy the standard edition. ![]() But remember that if you change your mind later, you'll either have to shell out the extra money for the deluxe costume set or shell out for the full deluxe edition (which would be the only way to then get Kasumi's costume or the 3 extra BGM tracks). However, if you really don't care about costumes at all and only care about the characters, then there really isn't much reason to get the deluxe edition instead of the standard edition (I very much doubt that the 3 BGM tracks are worth the extra money, and it's cheaper to get Phase 4 separately than to buy the deluxe edition instead of the standard edition just for her). You can buy the deluxe set which has the set of 25 deluxe costumes in it, but it costs almost about $15 more than the difference between the standard edition and the deluxe edition, and the deluxe edition also includes Phase 4 (who is $3.99 separately), an extra costume for Kasumi (which is _only_ available via the deluxe edition and IMHO is her best costume), and 3 extra BGM tracks (which are only available via the deluxe edition). If you care about the extra costumes that come with the deluxe edition, then you should get the deluxe edition.
